YULIYA KOSHEEVA
I was born in capital city of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, grew up in Russian family, and moved to New York when I was a teenager. I find it funny that I never know how to answer a simple “where are you from?” question. I consider myself and exotic, openminded creative who looks at the world from different cultural perspectives. I draw inspiration from performing arts, such as Ballet. I find this form of dance so fascinating, majestic, and elegant. Also, I really enjoy literature. Literature is teaching me storytelling, which is the back bone of design process. It also inspires me to think deeper and helps with content development.
“Manuscripts don't burn.”
Mikhail Bulgakov (1891 - 1940)
After I read The Master and Margarita, the novel by Mikhail Bulgakov, in its original language, I understood the beauty of balance between good and evil. This masterpiece is a pure surrealism in written form with irony, humor and unique outlook on life. Reading this novel made me realize that I want to create something, that powerful in my life, that won’t burn, just like the manuscripts.
My devotion to design, curiosity to learn about advertising industry and determination to pursue an exciting career have led me to creative world.
